We post news on our Facebook page – it’s popular – check it out!
Boulder Falls has reopened!
Here’s a taste-
We’ve got lots of great new stuff in! Come check us out- we are open every day from 8am until 7pm. 😀
We hope you’re having a lovely Memorial Day.
All of our respect and thanks to our veterans and active military.
20% off for all active military and veterans today, please show military i.d.
We’re open all day today until 7pm.
There’s still snow in the higher elevations- be prepared! We recommend traction or snowshoes, and you’ll definitely need a trekking pole or two for stream crossings, as the runoff is in full swing. Happy hiking!
Unless you're bringing snowshoes or skis along, it is **STRONGLY RECOMMENDED** that you avoid the Timber Lake trail for the next couple of weeks! However, there are a few exceptions to this. I'd recommend it if:
-you feel like your use of profanity is lacking in creativity and you need some inspiration
-your therapist wants you to find a way to access your deepest darkness
-you want to end a relationship but would rather not be the one to end it
-you want a way to test the resiliency of your wedding vows
-you want to have new reasons to go to confession
-you want to punish your kids and create in them some healthy resentment toward you
-your life is in danger and this is the only way to escape your pursuers
-you're one of the pursuers
Happy hiking this weekend!

We got some summer clothes in! Carhartt t-shirts and Carhartt Force men’s cargo shorts. We have the shorts in dark grey and tan, come check em out! They are lighter than their standard cargo shorts but still durable.
Look at these beautiful bears! This was taken just north of us in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Patience, and luck... We got lucky this evening as last few minutes of the setting sun's rays provided golden light on this family portrait! This is a different bear family than we observed last week, although in a similar RMNP location. This mama has distinctly different markings and only one (much larger) yearling cub. We were a safe distance with a 600mm lens, but the crowd that was gathering got their attention as they looked our direction. It's looking to be a beary good year, as these two bring our total up to 6 unique bears we've sighted in Rocky so far this year!

This is from 2 years ago- I wonder how much is up there today!
We’ll let you know when Trail Ridge Road opens for the season. 😀
This was the largest drift we measured: 19 feet! The crew expects this drift to grow a few feet by the time the road opens.

It’s a beautiful snowy morning in Nederland with perfect blue skies!
Come see it before it all melts away- 😉
Hope y’all stayed safe out there today-
Wind gusts have reached up to 89mph in today's wind event. Numerous trees have been uprooted, many people are without power, and roads have been closed due to vehicles being blown over. Winds will begin to subside this evening. Here is a summary of the highest gusts.
